Privacy

QueueSlip exists so you can send a single “running late” link instead of a flurry of texts. To do that, we store the minimum needed and delete it as soon as it stops being useful.

What we store

  • The name you typed (a first name or alias is fine).
  • The context you typed (e.g. “gym”).
  • Your reason and any free-text note.
  • Your ETA and the chosen privacy mode.
  • Checkpoint updates you send while the slip is active.
  • An edit token tied to the slip so only you can update or end it.

What we don’t store

  • No accounts, no passwords, no email or phone unless you enter one.
  • No live location streaming. We never request the browser’s location.
  • No third-party advertising or tracking pixels.
  • No analytics that profile individual users.

How long it sticks around

Slips auto-expire after the meeting window. Expired slips are purged on the server within 24 hours. Recipients hitting the link after expiry see a friendly “ended” page; nothing about your trip is exposed.

Cookies

When you create a slip, we set one HTTP-only cookie scoped to that slip so your browser is recognized as the sender. It expires when the slip does. We do not set advertising or cross-site cookies.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Hosting, operational telemetry, and database are provided by infrastructure vendors under standard data-processing terms.
